Standard dressing tool for all machines with suitable holders. The dressers are intended to be disposable and should be renewed completely on reaching their wear limit. (They cannot be replaced in the holder.)
Disposable single grit diamond dresser.
Application:
For precision dressing and sharpening of grinding wheels to (re)create a defined condition of the grinding tool (axial and radial run-out, surface structure, grinding behaviour). For one-off and short series manufacture. Ensure sufficient flow of cooling lubrication. Short clamping distances (free length < 2×D) avoid vibration problems.
For straight, slightly concave, and convex grinding wheel profiles for external cylindrical grinding, surface grinding, internal cylindrical grinding and profile grinding in the absence of sharp points. Take care to mount the device in the correct position (inclination 3° to 15° to the grinding centre for both axial directions). So that the dresser wheel wears evenly, turn it 90° in the holder at regular intervals.
