Epoxy resin adhesives are liquid reactive polymers that undergo a chemical reaction when mixed and cure to form a solid plastic. The chemical reaction takes place in the static mixer – both components are optimally mixed. The working time starts now and the curing process begins. Working time of between a few minutes and 4 hours. Their special formulation makes the products extremely resistant to tensile, peel, shear and impact forces, while their hard, flexible, or tough and resilient classification allows for optimum adaptation to the application in question. Epoxy resin adhesives are often used in demanding applications such as the automotive and supplier industry, aviation and aerospace, electronics, and metalworking and processing for high-strength bonding of a wide variety of materials.
