By installing the GARANT Automation Basic loading system, hydraulics expert Johann Schild junior has found exactly what he was looking for – a solution that promptly enables his company to work better, faster and more efficiently.

The company initially started discussing the use of automated systems in the summer of 2020, then things suddenly developed very quickly. Johann Schild junior remembers that time:
“All of a sudden we were faced with a situation where we had to manage without several employees, so we asked ourselves: how can we ensure reliable production workflows if our team is not available for whatever reason? That’s how we landed on the robot.”
They soon got in touch with the Hoffmann Group and before long, a visit to a customer who was testing the GARANT Automation Basic loading system was arranged. During his visit, Johann Schild junior quickly realised that he also wanted a robot like this for his own company: “Naturally there were a few teething problems at the start, some problems with the software, but the system was up and running before Christmas of 2020, and we now carry out production over two shifts.”
GARANT robot becomes a star on Facebook
A key reason why the project ran so smoothly was the Hoffmann Group’s philosophy of providing an all-round service from a single source. From planning and commissioning to employee training and follow-on support, the Hoffmann Group is on hand to assist its partners at every stage. Johann Schild junior greatly appreciated this, and was so impressed by his GARANT Automation Basic loading system that he immediately recorded a video about his new tool and posted it to Facebook:
“I have an affinity for this kind of thing; when I’m not at work I also record videos from time to time. I was obviously very keen to get this business milestone on film as well.”
The hydraulics expert could already see that people were fascinated by the automated system during the first few days while the robot was being commissioned. Inquisitive employees keep stopping at the innovative machine to marvel at its precision and dynamic operation. All in all, the Managing Director is delighted with his new investment specifically, and the collaboration with the Hoffmann Group in general:
“I like the direct nature of the collaboration and the fact that we get results quickly – that’s just one of the many reasons behind our close partnership with the Hoffmann Group.”
A big difference straight away
The GARANT Automation Basic loading system made a big difference within just a few weeks, with comparatively little work involved. As a result, Johann Schild junior is already considering buying a second robot:
“We’re currently working hard on further optimising our automated systems. We’re making good progress, and once we’re done it’ll only be a matter of time before we say: OK, now it makes sense to get a second machine.”
It therefore comes as no surprise that Schild is a big supporter of Hoffmann’s pioneering product:
“I’d recommend the GARANT Basic every time. For us, it’s achieving exactly the results we wanted. And we didn’t need to wait long for them – they came straight away.”
