Description

Description:

Use the 3M™ Trizact™ Finesse-it™ Film Disc Roll 466LA range on a variety of top coats, to accommodate most finish and process needs. Our rolls are ideal for use on rotary tools and mini random orbital sanders to give a consistently high quality polish ready finish on automotive clearcoats, lacquer, glass, corian and acrylic materials. Use them as part of our two step paint defect repair process for automotive finishes. The disc rolls are formulated with micro-replication technology, where micron-graded silicon carbide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral. This is then coated on a non-compressible polyester backing. Unlike conventional abrasives, the disc stays sharp, offering a more predictable high quality finish. Our film disc rolls come in three grades – A3, A5 and A7. Each roll is comprised of 500 individual film-backed discs. Each disc is designed for quick access and attachment to rotary tools or orbital sanders. Trizact abrasive discs can last more than five times longer than conventional discs. They offer precise finish control so the operator can reduce grade sequences so that fewer process steps and abrasive products are needed. These abrasives also offer the advantage of three dimensional structures, distributed uniformly over the entire surface of the abrasives – to ensure consistent performance and no disc-to-disc variation.

Advantage:

  • Get predictable finishes and consistent results
  • Creates high gloss level for glass defect repair, corian, and acrylic solid surface finishing
  • Use as part of the two step paint defect repair process for automotive finishes
  • Get a polish ready finish by using on mini random orbital sanders
  • Achieve finer finishes than with paper and film backed abrasives

Recommendation:

  • Use as part of 3M’s Finesse-it™ clearcoat repair process for automotive finishes
