Description:
Expandable blind rivets
There are numerous applications that require the use of special blind rivet connections. The company has developed a number of models to meet these requirements. Expandable blind rivets are required when soft or porous components such as wood, hard fibre, fibreglass or plasterboard need to be joined together with a high clamping force. During the setting process, the rivet mandrel falls out of the hollow rivet and on the closing head side the rivet mandrel divides the hollow rivet into four parts. These then claw into the material.
Typical areas of application are the assembly of plastic and wooden elements, caravan construction and the fastening of interior panelling.
