This abrasive roll with its ceramic grain offers a maximum abrasive coating. They are used for deburring, cleaning or fettling on reusable tool carriers for straight grinders when machining small workpieces. Their major advantage is the enormous quantity of abrasive coating, alone due to the large working surface that is cylindrically wound. As a result, the abrasive coating is available in several layers. As soon as an abrasive layer has been used up, the next layer appears and continues the grinding work. That is why the abrasive rolls offer an extraordinarily long tool life. Thanks to the self-sharpening effect of the innovative ceramic abrasive grain, the abrasive roll always stays perfectly sharp. During use, ceramic particles break off and make space for new ones with sharp cutting edges. That is what allows this highly versatile tool to achieve very high stock removal with little force required, consistently over the tool service life and with impressive durability. Tool replacement is significantly reduced – lowering tool costs. Hardened surfaces, wear-resistant steels, scale and hard coatings, titanium alloys and reinforced weld seams are no problems and can be machined quickly.
