Description

Version:

  • medium hard

Description:

  • POLINOX compact grinding wheels PNER consist of several highly compressed non-woven layers bonded with a special grain-resin system.
  • Different combinations of compaction, fibres, grain and corresponding bonding result in non-woven products with a very good surface finish, high removal rate and long service life.
  • These tools can be used to cover a wide range of surface finishing applications, from relatively coarse sanding to preparation for polishing.
  • The version for angle grinders and fillet weld grinders is particularly suitable for processing fillet welds and hard-to-reach slots or recesses.
  • Medium-hard version with increased edge strength and service life for rough deburring and fettling applications.
  • PFERD TOOLS-ERGONOMICS recommends POLINOX compact sanding wheels PNER to sustainably reduce vibration, noise and dust generation during use and to improve working comfort.

Feature:

  • Max. RPM: 6100 RPM
  • RPM, opt: 4500 RPM
  • Version: medium hard
  • Width metric: 6 mm
  • Ø bore: 22.23 mm
  • Abrasive: Aluminium oxide A
  • ø outer metric: 125 mm
  • Grit size: coarse

Advantage:

  • Highly economical due to high sanding performance and long service life.
  • Achievement of very good surface finishes.
  • Optimum contour adaptation as it can be freely profiled.

Application:

  • Recommendations for use: When machining materials with poor thermal conductivity, e.g. titanium and stainless steel, significantly reduce the cutting speed. For best performance, use at a recommended cutting speed of 15-30 m/s. This achieves an ideal compromise between stock removal rate, surface quality, temperature load on the workpiece and tool wear.
  • Machining tasks: Cleaning; deburring; fine grinding in stages; roughening; structuring (matting, line matting and satin finishing); surface finishing
  • Drive types: Flexible shaft drive; Straight grinder

Material:

  • Machinable materials:
    • Aluminium
    • brass
    • bronze
    • Cast steel
    • Cobalt-based alloys
    • Copper
    • Fibre-reinforced thermosets (GRP, CFRP)
    • Hardened, tempered steels over 1,200 N/mm² (< 38 HRC)
    • Nickel-based alloys (e.g. Inconell and Hasteloy)
    • Stainless steel (INOX)
    • Steel materials with a hardness > 54 HRC
    • Thermoplastics
    • Titanium
    • Titanium alloys
    • Zinc

Note:

  • For safety reasons, the specified maximum permissible speed must never be exceeded.
