Rings for surface grinding consist of a highly porous ceramic bond with a grain size of 46 or a synthetic resin bond with a grain size of 60. They are primarily suitable for high-alloy steels and HSS and fulfil the highest surface requirements. Slip rings with a high stock removal rate are required for paper and planer knives in particular. Please note that resin-bonded slip rings only have limited resistance to coolant.
