Description

Version:

  • INOX

Description:

  • Cross-ground drilling tools for industrial applications.
  • Fully ground, clockwise turning versions that produce precise drill holes thanks to their high concentricity and exact centring.
  • PFERD TOOLS offers twist drills in the STEEL (118° point angle) and INOX (135° point angle) versions.
  • High-performance drilling tools in the INOX version in HSSE-Co5 (M35) for industrial applications.
  • Fully ground right-hand cutting version with cross cut, which produces precise drill holes thanks to its high concentricity and exact centring.
  • Extra-short twist drills in accordance with DIN 1897, preferably for robot and machine use.

Feature:

  • RPM of, gray cast iron, white cast iron: 800 rpm
  • RPM of, hard NF metals: 2000 rpm
  • RPM of, rust and acid resistant steels: 800 rpm
  • RPM of, soft NF metals: 2390 rpm
  • RPM of, steels above 700 N/mm²: 1600 rpm
  • RPM of, Thermoplastics, Fiber Reinforced Plastics (GRP/CFRP): 1200 rpm
  • RPM BIS, gray cast iron, white cast iron: 2000 rpm
  • RPM BIS, hard NF metals: 3990 rpm
  • RPM BIS, rust and acid resistant steels: 1600 rpm
  • RPM BIS, soft NF metals: 4780 rpm
  • RPM up to, thermopl. Plastics, fibres Plastics (GRP/CFRP): 3190 rpm
  • Version: INOX
  • ø: 4 mm
  • Spiral angle, of: 36°
  • Squares: 135°
  • Flute length: 22 mm
  • Length, total: 55 mm

Advantage:

  • Particularly suitable for tough and hard materials such as alloyed and high-strength steel, stainless steel (INOX).
  • Sturdy point design.
  • Very long tool life.
  • Very good temperature resistance due to Co content.
  • Very good chip removal.

Application:

  • Application recommendations: Observe the recommended speeds. If possible, use a high-quality cutting oil or cooling lubricant when drilling metals. This promotes smooth running and extends the service life of the drill bit. Exception: Add petroleum instead of cutting oil when machining aluminium. Remove the particles produced when machining stainless steel (INOX) from the workpiece to prevent corrosion. Clean the workpiece chemically or mechanically (etching/polishing etc.).
  • Machining tasks: Drilling
  • Drive types: Pillar drill; Machine tool; Drill; Robot; Stationary machines
